The Little nothings in life
What if I told you that the little nothings in life are actually your everything’s in life? Those “little nothings” are what fulfill you and give you a strong sense of alignment. It’s in these little details: to eat breakfast before you drink your coffee, dedicating just 10 minutes reading a book instead of scrolling on your phone, cooking dinner with your partner instead of ordering takeout for the 8th time, that create the biggest change. Those little nothings are the very reason you have finally become the disciplined, happy, confident person you’ve always wanted to be.
It’s only natural for us to undermine the little things in life because thats the value we place on them..little. But consider this, you didn’t become your dream person solely by achieving major milestones like finally losing 30lbs or hitting your first 6k month(those are still amazing achievements). No, you became that person because of the small changes you’ve made and little moments you’ve experienced along the way, not the other way around.
There’s the popular saying, “Enjoy the journey not the destination” that we’ve all heard at least a million times and yes it’s the most cliche saying ever but there is so much truth to it.
the little nothings are what make up a beautiful life.
Fall in love with the details - watching the sunset with your friends, reading a book with your partner, saying one nice thing about yourself, holding the door open for a stranger, calling your mom, making dinner for your family, noticing how good food tastes, blasting music in the car, enjoying your own company - Those are the things that heal you; that change you.
So as you move forward in life, I challenge and inspire you to take notice of the little nothings in your life. Write them down, share them with your friends, do whatever it takes. If you want to change your reality, it starts with noticing and cherishing the small details life has to offer.
And, I’ll say it one more time for good luck:
Enjoy the journey, not the destination ;)
